About us
MBS Centre (formerly known as the Marylebone Bangladesh Society until May 2025) is a long-established community organisation based in the Church Street ward of London. Our overall aim is to improve the lives of Westminster residents through a wide range of programmes and services.
Since our founding in 1979, MBS Centre has grown into a welcoming space where people of all ages can learn, connect, and thrive. We offer opportunities for young people, families, and older residents to take part in positive activities such as youth clubs, health and wellbeing initiatives, educational workshops, and cultural events.
Our approach focuses on building stronger communities by tackling social challenges like poverty, while also empowering individuals to take charge of their lives and overcome obstacles. Through our health projects, we further promote healthier, more active lifestyles, ensuring lasting benefits for the community as a whole.
Our Values
Community
We serve a diverse and vibrant community across many of Westminster’s most deprived areas who face social and economic challenges.
Aims
Our aims are to promote and improve the economic, general health, and wellbeing of people living in these areas. We strive to deliver excellent support services emphasising quality, sensitivity, and, above all, confidentiality.
Vision
We envision a community where all local members have equal chances in life and can take active, fulfilling roles in society. Our goal is to see everyone thrive, be resilient, and contribute positively to building a strong and inclusive society.
Mission
MBS Centre aims to create opportunities for growth and development, support people to help themselves, break down social barriers, and improve resilience across Westminster’s northern neighbourhoods.
